Earthing & Grounding

What is it and when should you do it?

From a scientific perspective, the idea is that the earth has a mild negative charge to it. Over time, especially in modern life, our bodies build up a positive charge.  Unfortunately, as life gets busy and people get older, many people do no not have contact with the earth anymore due to the shoes we wear and the indoor living we are accustomed to.  Direct contact with the earth can even out this positive charge and return the body to a neutral state. From a spiritual perspective, earthing can help get rid of excess energy blockage in the body and connect you back nature, balancing out the energy, and getting you back in touch with your physical body. The best ways to strengthen your bond is to spend time outside. Our ancestors had no trouble connecting with higher nature and getting grounded. They were outside every day, all day, rain or shine.

Follow these simple tips to incorporate earthing and grounding into your life:

  • Simply walk outside without shoes, even concrete or brick is a conductor and transfer of the energy and electrons, if the concrete or brick is not sealed
  • Walking on wet grass or sand
  • Walking and playing in dirt
  • Wet sand at the beach is the very best conductor of energy
  • Lay on the ground in the grass, on a blanket is ok, but direct contact is best
